Shell Hires Stena Drilling State Of The Art Drill Ship (IceMax) for it's 2015 Exploration off Nova Scotia

May 26, 2014

Shell , Conaco Phillips and Suncor join forces to explore Canada's East Coast which is part of billions of exploration dollars slated for Eastern Canada.  Along with this project (BP) British petroleum is seriously looking at their options in the area as well.  Statoil has an interest off Newfoundland with a marginal stake with a great outlook for future exploration along with the Hebron project under way off NFLD.  Looks like the cards are turning for opportunities in Eastern Canada for those working out West looking for opportunities back home.  These announcements should get people excited for the future as the Oil & Gas industry will change the economy for the better.  The task for these companies in the future is finding the talent to support future operations as its going to be competitive against other projects around the world.  East Coast Canadians should be looking at getting trained for the drilling industry so they are ready and prepared to take on the challenges going to be offered by these major operators.

Maritime Drilling Schools Limited is already offering its 20 Pre Employment Floorman (Roughneck) Training Program for Land and Offshre Drilling Rigs.  Being prepared prior to the arrival of these drilling contractors will help you to become more attractive as new hires with all the industry Safety Certifications and Industry Accreditations under your belt.
